I believe one of the most beneficial things a designer can do for themselves is to work with a variety of methods and media. Letting your mind wander while working with clay could unlock the shape you need to make a logo just right, or a color made by accident while painting could become the basis for a whole company's brand pallet. This page contains some favorite and formative pieces, along with other freelance work.

HipHop-Barbera: A character design zine

A self-published zine compiling a series of illustrations and character design lineups, where I chose a musical and I create multiple characters in my own style based off the themes and visuals in their albums.

Next, I mash them up with an existing cartoon character that matches their overall artistic persona, drawing parallels between the rapper and their cartoon counterpart. (Tyler, the Creator as the Scooby Doo Gang, Chance the Rapper as Arthur, etc.)

Mashups like these call back to the act of sampling that makes up the backbone of hip-hop production, and the outsized personalities of both genres harmonize with each other.
