Adam Savage has always been a hero to me, his philosophy on making has informed much of who I am today. Here are a few spreads from a book I made, collecting transcripts of several TED Talks and articles wherein he describes his relationship to making. The book is constructed from corrugated cardboard, a material Savage describes as "The gateway drug to making". The cover is a deep blue, in reference to Adam's first project in which he realized his obsession with creating: a life size cardboard statue of a man in a blue suit. A strip of orange Duct Tape, another favorite material of Adam's, complete the hand-made aesthetic of the book.
